Preparing to Hit the Road
I’ve been busy getting ready to hit the road for a research and book marketing trip. You know what it’s like when you’re going out of town — not only packing and preparing for the trip but also taking care of all the things that will need to be done at home and work during the trip. Taking care of customers in my credit card business, paying bills, leaving the house and yard in good shape …plus getting the RV ready and packed.
But I’m excited to be hitting the road. Next weekend, I’ll be in Corinth, MS to interview descendants of Hezekiah Mitchell for Adam’s Daughters: Book 2 in the Westward Sagas. Some members of this family visited me to confirm that we are in fact related.
On Friday, September 8th, I’ll sign Spring House at Downtown Books. See my author appearances page on my Web site for details.
The following week, I’ll be in Jonesboro, TN to do more research for Adam’s Daughters. I’ve timed my visit to be able to attend a meeting of the Jonesborough Genealogical Society on September 16th.
Along the way, I’ll visit bookstores and look for opportunities to introduce Spring House to new readers and booksellers. If you know a bookstore I should visit or Mitchell descendants I should interview along the road, phone or e-mail, and I will get the message.
