SAR San Antonio Genealogy Seminar

As you know from the previous post, I’m a big fan of hereditary organizations such as the Sons of the American Revolution. Most of these organizations give genealogy seminars, and there’s a seminar coming up next spring that I highly recommend.

It is sponsored by the San Antonio Chapter of the Texas State Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) in conjunction with the Texas Society of the Sons of the American Revolution 112th Convention. But you don’t have to be a member to participate – everyone interested in genealogy is invited to attend.

The seminar, presented by Harry Dell and Mary Alice Dell, will take place on Thursday, March 22, 2007, 9:00 am – 4:20 pm, at the Doubletree Hotel, 37 NE Loop 410. You can download information on the Genealogy Seminar, including a registration form, on the San Antonio SAR Web site.

Hope to see you there!

    Mr. Bowles:

I am an ancestor of a MinuteMan (Joseph Barker, Jr.), and have begun the process of joing the MASSAR. I have found it very difficult. I have been working with Mike Fishbein, and have difficulty understanding exactly what is required in the proving of the relationship.

    Questions:

I have no commitment and have spent no money. Could I associate with the San Antonio Chapter of the SAR? If so, who do I contact?
